Congresswoman Titus Announces Major Clean Energy Project for Southern Nevada

WASHINGTON, D.C. – June 4, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — Today, Congresswoman Dina Titus of Nevada’s First District announced that the Department of the Interior has approved a major clean energy project in Southern Nevada. The Midland Solar Project will be built seven miles southwest of Boulder City. Once completed, the solar power plant will generate enough electricity to power approximately 105,000 homes. The project will create 350 construction jobs and up to 10 permanent jobs.

“This is great news for Southern Nevada. Projects like the Midland Solar Project demonstrate our region’s progress toward becoming a leader in the development and production of clean, renewable energy. I will continue to work to create more opportunities for clean energy projects in Nevada to create jobs, bolster our local economy, and advance our transition away from fossil fuels to more sustainable sources of energy.”
