Nevada Housing Division sponsored housing locator website reaches 30,000 listings.

Carson City, Nevada. – July 8, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — NVHousingSearch.org has reached a major milestone of 30,000 listed housing units. The one-stop resource for statewide rental housing listings and information was launched in the fall of 2014 and has quickly become a go-to resource for both affordable and market-rate rental listings.

The web-based service, a partnership between the Nevada Housing Division and Socialserve.com, offers completely free listing and search capabilities.

The service generates approximately one thousand searches every week. Visitors are presented with quick links to rental listings based on individual criteria. Special features include links to housing-related resources as well as rent-affordability and moving-cost calculators.
In addition to the website, a bilingual English, Spanish toll-free call center is available weekdays from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. The call center offers free support for those who cannot access the internet or simply prefer live, human support.

This project is one of Nevada Housing Division’s myriad programs to collaborate with other social service agencies to meet the Division’s goals and mandates related to affordable and accessible housing.

CJ Manthe, Administrator, Nevada Housing Division, stated, “We are so pleased with the progress we’ve made in building the housing locator for Nevadans and reaching the goal of 30,000 units ahead of schedule. We are continuing to build our listings, including new tax credit properties, so we encourage everyone to keep coming back to check out new listings.”
