Coldwell Banker’s Michael Campbell Selected as Finalist for REALTOR® Magazine’s Good Neighbor Award
Torrance, CA – September 12, 2012 – (RealEstateRama) — Realtors® are the backbone of their communities, often supporting local causes large and small, and volunteering their time to help improve the communities in which they live and work. Such is the case for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage’s Michael R. Campbell who has been selected as a finalist for REALTOR® Magazine’s 2012 Good Neighbor Awards by the National Association of Realtors® – an honor only 10 Realtors® received nationwide.
Now in its thirteenth year, the Good Neighbor Awards program has recognized Realtors® who improve the quality of life in their communities through volunteer work. The Realtors® acknowledged by this program over the years donate their time, money and passion to creating a positive impact and addressing critical needs in their communities.
A broker associate in the Coldwell Banker Foothills office, Campbell is president of the nonprofit Hearth Foundation, which provides transitional housing for low-income families, where he is credited for reorganizing and stabilizing the organization, strengthening the board and creating effective partnerships with other organizations to provide essential services to the residents. Most recently, Campbell led efforts to secure a $720,000 grant, which will allow the organization to make much-needed renovations to their community.
A real estate professional serving the greater Tucson region, Campbell has nearly 30 years of experience helping his clients buy and sell homes and is a certified relocation specialist successfully assisting families and individuals relocate to the Tucson community. Previously a university professor, Campbell has taught both lighting and set design. He received his Master of Fine Arts degree in lighting design from the University of Arizona. Campbell is also a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater Arizona Chapter and has served on the School of Dance Advisory Board at the University of Arizona for the past 11 years. He also has served on the Board of Directors for the Hillel Foundation at the University of Arizona.
“We are extremely proud of Michael’s accomplishments and his continued dedication to the community,” said Malcolm MacEwen, president and chief operating officer of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Arizona. “Michael’s service goes beyond real estate to truly shaping the community in which he lives and works.”
In October 2012, five winners will be selected from 10 finalists at the 2012 REALTORS® Conference & Expo in Orlando, Fla., to receive their award, which includes a $10,000 grant for their community cause.
