November 5, 2010 – (RealEstateRama) — The city of Las Vegas is hosting a Foreclosure Prevention Summit on Friday, Nov. 12, from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at the Historic Fifth Street School at 401 S. Fourth St. Nevada leads the nation in foreclosures. Responding to the crisis is seen as a crucial step in getting the state back on track economically.
Elected officials from the area are encouraged to take part in this important discussion and help formulate recommendations.
“Nevada’s leaders need to come together to take action and help bring relief and recovery that works for our state,” said Ward 6 City Councilman Steven D. Ross. “We must decide on an approach that is best during this shifting crisis.” Councilman Ross’ ward has been hit hard with foreclosures.
