Brian Head Town Council Completes Paved Roadway Through Master-Planned Resort Development ‘SUMMIT at Brian Head’
BRIAN HEAD, Utah and LAS VEGAS, Nov. 7 /PRNewswire/ — The Brian Head Town Council announced today the completion of a paved roadway through the 42-acre SUMMIT at Brian Head site, the first master-planned community in Las Vegas’ mountain playground. As part of the Town’s $3.7 million special improvement district, the new roadway runs approximately a 1/2 mile and traverses the picturesque SUMMIT development along Bristlecone Road. Ultimately the road will be the main boulevard through the resort development but, for the time being, it will provide construction access as SUMMIT prepares for a Spring 2008 groundbreaking.
“We’ve seen more construction activity underway or planned this year than ever in the history of the town,” said “Dutch” Deutschlander, Mayor of Brian Head. “It’s clearly driven by the growth of Las Vegas and the need for their residents to get away and escape the heat in the summer or to enjoy our snow activities in the winter.” SUMMIT at Brian Head will be central to all Brian Head’s activities in all four seasons, he added.
“We tip our hat to the Mayor and the Town Council for completing this portion of the Special Improvement District,” said Michael Jabara, developer of the SUMMIT. “Completing this roadway is an important milestone for SUMMIT as we prepare for our Spring 2008 ground breaking. Connecting the SUMMIT site with the existing roadways in the region is a first step in establishing the infrastructure necessary to develop this project,” he added.
“In working with the Town Council, we have spent the past two years obtaining the necessary entitlements and have undergone a stringent design and development process to completely create the look and feel of what we believe will be a signature development for Brian Head. We have completed all the design documentation and received all the approvals necessary to begin construction this spring,” said Jabara.
