Las Vegas Residents Invited To 3rd Annual Homeowners Night May 29

WASHINGTON, D.C. – May 12, 2014 – (RealEstateRama) — City of Las Vegas residents are invited to the Development Services Center Thursday, May 29, starting at 6 p.m., for the third annual Homeowners Night. The center is located at 333 N. Rancho Drive. Residents can learn how to obtain a permit for work previously performed on their home, get information on code violations and what work requires a permit, apply for a permit for new work, learn how to work with contractors, and improve their knowledge of electrical safety. Workshops that will be offered are:

City staff members, as well as representatives of the Nevada State Contractors Board, will be present to answer questions related to building permits, neighborhood issues and zoning violations. In addition, residents will be able to take advantage of the city’s year-round amnesty program that allows homeowners to self-disclose non-permitted or non-code-compliant work in their homes without experiencing any penalties for the required plan review and permit fees. Light refreshments will be offered.
