TITUS ANNOUNCES $1.5 MILLION GRANT TO HELP END VETERAN HOMELESSNESS

-

Las Vegas, NV – April 1, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — Congresswoman Dina Titus, a Member of the House Veterans Affairs Committee, announced that U.S. Vets, located in Nevada’s First Congressional District, will receive $1.5 million as part of the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF). This funding will be used to provide services to very low-income veteran families living in – or transitioning to – permanent housing.

“When the brave men and women of our armed services go into battle, they pledge never to leave a fellow soldier behind. We need to do the same when they return home,” said Titus. “These funds will help veterans in Las Vegas receive the support they need to find permanent housing thus reducing veteran homelessness in our community.”
