Residents Invited To Upcoming Free Event And Discussion Of Foreclosure Prevention And The Mediation Process
Those Interested In Attending Are Urged To R.S.V.P. Quickly As Space Is Limited
April 13, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — Residents are invited to join Ward 6 Councilman Steve Ross for an upcoming Foreclosure Prevention and Mediation Process interactive event. The free event is planned for 2 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, and will take place at the Centennial Hills Active Adult Center, located at 6601 N. Buffalo Drive. Interested parties are asked to R.S.V.P. to 229-4167 as soon as possible as space is limited.
“We continue to hear from our residents who are facing foreclosure and are looking for answers,” said Councilman Ross. “They are in need of help and this event will provide them with the information they need to help them deal with this difficult process.”
The event is designed to provide information on various tools and programs to help residents facing foreclosure on their primary residence. A number of speakers, including representatives from the city of Las Vegas, the Nevada Attorney General’s Office, the Nevada Foreclosure Mediation Program and Consumer Credit Counseling Services of Nevada, will provide information on a variety of foreclosure-related topics. There will also be a question and answer period.
The event is being presented by the city of Las Vegas Senior Citizens Law Project in conjunction with the Nevada Foreclosure Mediation Program. It is being held as part of the observance of Older Americans Month which is held each May to acknowledge the contributions of past and current older persons.
