Congresswoman Titus Announces Major Clean Energy Project for Southern Nevada
WASHINGTON, D.C. - June 4, 2013 - (RealEstateRama) -- Today, Congresswoman Dina Titus of Nevada’s First District announced that the Department of the Interior has approved a major clean energy project in Southern Nevada. The Midland Solar Project will be built seven miles southwest of Boulder City. Once completed, the solar power plant will generate enough electricity to power approximately 105,000 homes. The project will create 350 construction jobs and up to 10 permanent jobs
Titus Announces $1.8 Million in Housing Funding for Southern Nevada Veterans
WASHINGTON, D.C. - June 4, 2013 - (RealEstateRama) -- Congresswoman Dina Titus of Nevada’s First District announced that the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) will provide nearly $2 million to the Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority to offer permanent supportive housing to homeless Veterans, many of whom are living with chronic disabling conditions. The supportive housing assistance announced today is provided through the HUD-Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) Program which combines rental assistance from HUD with case management and clinical services provided by VA
