Las Vegas Residents Invited To 3rd Annual Homeowners Night May 29
City of Las Vegas residents are invited to the Development Services Center Thursday, May 29, starting at 6 p.m., for the third annual Homeowners Night. The center is located at 333 N. Rancho Drive. Residents can learn how to obtain a permit for work previously performed on their home, get information on code violations and what work requires a permit, apply for a permit for new work, learn how to work with contractors, and improve their knowledge of electrical safety. Today, U.S. Senator Dean Heller (R-NV) penned a letter to the Chairman and Ranking Member of the Senate Finance Committee, asking them to move forward on tax extenders legislation. In the letter, Heller urges the Committee to include a continuation of the state and local sales tax deduction. This tax deduction is “a vital component of our economy, spurring growth and creating jobs,” Heller said
